“ifok embodies values that are important to me: Participation, sustainability and transparent communication.”

Katharina Jakobi

What made you decide to work at ifok?

I learn something new every day at ifok, whether it’s in the project work or in my exchange with colleagues. You are constantly evolving here and it never gets boring. In addition, ifok embodies values that are important to me: Participation, sustainability and transparent communication.

How long have you been part of the ifok team and where were you before?

I joined ifok as a fellow in 2015 after studying media and communication sciences in Mannheim and public communication in Jena. Before that, I gained experience in communications through various internships, including in corporate communications at BASF and political communications at a member of the Bundestag.

What sets you apart at the office?

Since I’m a seasoned veteran at ifok, people like to ask me about structures and processes in the company. I have an eye for detail and always keep an overview of my projects. My colleagues appreciate my open and honest nature as well as my empathy.

What do you particularly like doing in your free time?

Every year I host the Herrnsheim WineSlam in front of 750 people in the Herrnsheim Castle Park near Worms. It’s a great atmosphere and every year it’s a new challenge. Moreover, I can often be found at the weekly market in Worms, where I help run my husband’s wine stall.
