Strategy dialog automotive industry Baden-Württemberg
Climate protection, electric cars, digitalization: Our mobility is facing a historic transformation and thus poses major challenges for automotive manufacturers. How can new business models be found? How can we shape the transformation constructively? And how can we ensure that society supports these new paths? Topic 7 “Society and mobility” of the Baden-Württemberg Automotive Industry Strategy Dialogue (SDA) brings together industry players and citizens. Together, we discuss sustainable development of the automotive industry. We find out about their contributions to a sustainable traffic and mobility system, and we talk about the concerns, wishes and expectations of the population. The results lead to concrete proposals for solutions, which are discussed and evaluated in various dialog formats.

ifok and the Automotive Industry Strategy Dialogue Baden-Württemberg
The major goal: to bring together the transformation of the automotive industry with the requirements of society. To this end, ifok developed various dialog formats together with the Baden-Württemberg State Ministry. These range from citizen participation to online dialogs and focus groups – organized and moderated by ifok. The exciting thing about it: we involve completely different stakeholder groups – from random citizens to association representatives. Also in our hands: the transfer of the results into politics and the entire SDA.

Our successes
With topic area 7 “Society and Mobility,” we carry the perspectives of citizens in Baden-Württemberg throughout the SDA. This makes the SDA a pioneer in public participation in structural change in the automotive industry.
The SDA’s Topic Area 7 provides networking opportunities within the SDA and brings together the needs, concerns, and desires of citizens with the knowledge of experts.
We have been accompanying citizens since the beginning of the SDA and are continuously developing our dialog formats and concepts. Problem definitions result in the first concrete proposals for solutions for the future of mobility in Baden-Württemberg.
