When was the last time you used a road? The last time you plugged an appliance into the mains? The last time you boarded a train? We all use infrastructure every day and take it for granted. But when that infrastructure is being developed on their doorstep, people are often plagued by worries and fears. If these concerns and people’s desire for information are not taken seriously, conflict is inevitable.
This enormous transformation task comes at a time when society is becoming increasingly polarized, land conflicts at local level are becoming more and more apparent and the shortage of skilled workers coupled with a lack of digitalization is slowing down projects – at the same time, political and social pressure is increasing to implement infrastructure projects much faster than before.
Fundamental decisions on nationwide infrastructures are made by the federal government. A well-designed consultation on needs, i.e. on “whether”, facilitates the discussion at local level and is an effective lever against disenchantment with politics.
In the run-up to and during the infrastructure project, we ensure effective and trusting communication with stakeholders and citizens. This enables project developers and local authorities to prepare and optimize planning – and reduces access bans, objections and lawsuits while at the same time reducing the workload of the approval authorities.
We make complex content accessible with technically sound yet comprehensible communication, combined with human empathy and contemporary text/image language.
During the project, we take on direct coordination with specialist trades, coordinate at interfaces and ensure trustworthy communication with those affected by the land.
We implement multi-stakeholder processes for politicians and administrators in order to develop the best solutions for managing the transformation through dialog.
We are experts on our topics. We are familiar with the scene and the debates going on within it. We invest in the innovation potential of interdisciplinary teams, data-driven analyses and above all in the experience of the people on location. It’s not the last word that counts for us, but the best solution.
