“My credo is: listen, take a deep breath and then work on a solution together.”
Johannes Bayer
What made you decide to work at ifok?
I believe that better results are achieved and those involved are more satisfied when all relevant stakeholders have a say and can share their ideas, wishes and visions. At ifok, this is achieved in two ways: firstly, in our projects, where we always try to include all perspectives. Be it in the design of effective participation processes for large infrastructure projects or in the user-centered development of websites and services. Secondly, in the project teams: What unites us ifox is that we all have our own heads, which are full of clever thoughts. Throwing these thoughts together, discussing them as equals and creating something new together is always a lot of fun for me.
When did you start at ifok and where were you before?
I started at ifok as a Fellow in 2017. Before that, I studied communication management at the University of Hohenheim. There, I also got to know ifok at a seminar on communication and public participation as part of infrastructure projects.
What sets you apart in the office?
Colleagues often tell me that they appreciate my calm and collected manner in hectic or stressful situations. I simply find it to be more relaxing to listen first, take a deep breath and then work out together how we can move forward. If I can sneak in my love for agile formats and methods on top of that, I’m happy.
What do you like doing in your free time?
Thanks to my three children, my time outside of ifok is also often characterized by project management, learning processes and conflict resolution. However, there’s more playing, reading and cuddling. When I do have time for myself, I like to read, make up my own stories or play sports.
